CONSUMER PROTECTION
I. The State of
California Department of Consumer Affairs Registration.
At this moment, the
consumers do not have any government agency to file
their complaints against the Credential Evaluation
Services. Credential evaluation services have remained
unregulated. We have decided to set an example by
registering voluntarily with the Department of Consumer
Affairs.
California University FCE will comply with applicable
Federal and State statutes. It will abide by the rules &
regulations, and the standards set by the Department of
Consumer Affairs. This is our best guarantee to the
consumers.
II. The Better Business
Bureau Accreditation.
The Better Business Bureau
(BBB) is a Consumer Rights’ Advocate and the highest
private consumer protection agency in the United States
of America. Businesses and academic institutions that
can not maintain the highest standards set by BBB are
excluded from membership. Only those businesses and
academic institutions that consistently maintain the BBB
Code of Ethics and Standards are accredited members.
State universities, such as the University of
California-San Diego and other private institutions are
accredited members. California University FCE is proud
to be an accredited member with an exemplary AAA rating.
It is sad to note that very few credential evaluation
services qualified for the Better Business Bureau
accreditation, yet they continue to serve the public.
The consumers have no place to file their complaints
against erring Credential Evaluation Services who are
not members of the Better Business Bureau.
The International Education and Research Foundation,
Inc. (IERF) and other credential evaluation services
that are members of the National Association of
Credential Evaluators (NACES) are also accredited
members of the Better Business Bureau.
III. Recognized

recognized member in the following higher education
